10 Things Every Incoming TAMUCC Freshman Should Know

College is very stressful for an incoming Freshman. Here are 10 things to get one started on what he needs have a successful college career.

Naps

Maybe kindergarten was onto something...

Food

Food isn't cheap. Find coupons and avoid eating out!

Go to CASA

It's not that hard and the people there are actually pretty cool.

Talk to the proffesors

They dedicate their lives to teaching the material. They more than likely know the answer to you question.

Make it to class

Take a nap after the lecture. Not everything is put online.

Rush a fraternity/ sorority

Not trying to pressure you, just saying that there is a lot of advantages.

Find a senior

They know what is going to happen for your next 3 years of life. Take their advice. They might also get a job connection for you when you graduate!

Go to the beach while you can

Going to the beach will be an obvious destination for many who are not local. Take advantage of that while you have the time. Projects and tests WILL prevent you from getting there.

On campus living is great...for a Freshman

The coziness of a pre furnished place is always nice. Also, roommates and neighbors are a perfect way of getting foundation friends. There is a time to grow up, however, and it's called Sophomore year

Free stuff everywhere

Free food and supplies will be passed out at least once a month. Trust me, you will need this. It could also cause you to find a group or organization that you really enjoy!
