You’re not doing anywhere near a good enough job here. These articles should be strong enough to not only discourage anyone from even thinking about moving here, but also encourage those who have moved here to move to some other state. As a native Floridian, allow me to clarify a couple of things. They’re called palmetto bugs by transplants; we call them roaches. The red ants are fire ants, and they only bite so that they can hold on to inject their venom through their stinger; that’s what’s painful. Mosquitoes are nature’s way of telling you that you should move to another state. Alligators prefer meat that’s been defrosted (transplanted northerners).
I didn’t see any mention of yellow jackets and guinea wasps with nests of millions of individuals. Not enough mention of snakes, either; black racers, grass snakes, rattlesnakes, cottonmouth moccasins. Really, there are many more examples of unnerving native flora, fauna and weather that can be used to get the exodus started. Put your back into it; try harder.
