So this conversation actually happened between me and this guy I really like:
Me: Yeah, we went on a trip for my birthday.
Him: When is your birthday??
Me: April first.
Him: Does your birthday always land on April first??
Me: .....That's kinda how birthdays work...
I hate when one person is really popular, and the other is some sort of nerd or whatever. And I really hate when there's some sort of trick involved: I'll pay you to take her to the {insert big event}. Or one person pretends to be someone they're not to get the other person to like…Â
I really wish people would understand that comments like, "You're so hyper/full of energy" or, "I bet you never slow down" are actually kind of hurtful. I don't mean to be going at a million miles a minute all the time, but I can't help it.
I have read The Goldfinch, and it was a long, crazy adventure, and therefore perfect for travel. I have also read The Life of Pi, which is also perfect for travel. But I would have to say my new favorite is The Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks. Fantasy, in genre, The Night Angel…Â
Someone told me about this, I tried it and loved it. Very simple: a double quarter-pounder with cheese and add Mac sauce. DELICIOUS!! Down side: some McDonald's won't do it.
