2. If you inject the alcholol in a vein in your arm where do you think it goes??????
3. Since it was not absorbed by the bowel, it does not enter the portal circulation.
4. If it does not enter the portal circulation, where does it go??? It will go straight to the heart, into the lungs, back to the heart, and then into the arterial system. Once in the arterial system the etoh (and other chemicals in the IV) can now travel to the rest of the body WITH OUT BEING PROCESSED BY THE LIVER FIRST!!!
5. Yes, eventually the chemicals will reach the liver via the arterial system, but guess what, you have bypassed the portal circulation, since the liver did not begin process the etoh first, the brain/heart and other organs get the damaging effects of the etoh full strength.
6. As far as absorbing material through the vagina, If you take the time to study the circulatory system, the drugs absorbed by the vagina will flow through the heart and lungs before reaching the liver, thus they bypassed the portal circulation and the Liver (the liver processes a ton of stuff during that 1st pass)

@deleond2  Nothing goes to the liver without first going into the bloodstream. THE LIVER IS A FILTER FOR THE BLOOD. What do you think, your digestive system has a straight path to the liver? Little chunks of corn and such? A couple of years ago I saw a TV show where a bunch of doctors tried to scare parents about what their kids are doing. Most of these were on that program. While they're right that you'd have to be a freakin' moron to do these things, the host kept going on about how absorbing vodka through the vagina somehow bypasses the liver. Utter BS concocted to scare ignorant people.

This post should be deleted. Alcohol is dangerous, it is very easy to overdose on alcohol per rectum and by consuming massive amounts. This isn't funny to me at all, so many people have died from doing stuff like this.
