There’s nothing wrong with that Lil Wayne line. In context, it’s a funny non sequitur. Not sure what it’s doing on a list like this, unless you think that black people are incapable of telling jokes, and therefore anything a black guy says that makes you laugh must be unintentionally funny.

Jay-Z has the all time best rap lyric, as well: “Try to play a boy out like he’s saccharine, but ain’t nothing sweet ‘bout how I hold my gun…” That line impresses me every time. Say what you will, I think Jay is a genius.

Why do people listen to these nobrainer lyrics.
Clearly these ‘artists’ have nothing to say. Maybe they just pretend to be morons so their fans can associate. I think these rappers are actually geniuses.

Small correction; the Lil Wayne song is “”Ride 4 My Niggas”….which is a pretty good song.

I canNOT believe I’m the first one to point out that Jay-Z was at the very least alluding to Flavor Flav, from more than a decade earlier..

Ludacris: Again, old song. And Ludacris typically is more lyrically productive than this. Plus there’s nothing wrong with goofing off in a song

Timbaland: People like titties. People hate snobs. Is that wrong?
Pharrell: This isn’t even a bad line. His rhyme scheme is good here

Only one is a true lyricist and his made sense. If you shoot my dawg (my boy, my dog)… Imma kill your cat (back in the day they said cats instead of my dawgs). Jay’s had much worse. In that same song he kills it with “I am the Michael Schumacher of the Roc Roster, travelin’ mach 5….. barrelin’, my apparel can stop God.”

This article should have been named “The best 10 lyrics”, these are gold too.  Luda’s line is awesome, and that was the best line in “You’s a ho”.

i didn’t think one was stupid. it just needed to be dissected. but the rest were

“honey got a booty like pow pow pow; honey got some boobies like wow oh wow.”

That Lil’ Wayne line is probably his finest hour. And I don’t mean that as an insult - I genuinely think it’s pretty awesome. And it goes without saying, of course, that most of these guys are really good lyricists. Except Puff Daddy, obviously. Nobody knows why he’s rich and famous.
