There's nothing wrong with that Lil Wayne line. In context, it's a funny non sequitur. Not sure what it's doing on a list like this, unless you think that black people are incapable of telling jokes, and therefore anything a black guy says that makes you laugh must be unintentionally funny.

Jay-Z has the all time best rap lyric, as well: “Try to play a boy out like he's saccharine, but ain't nothing sweet 'bout how I hold my gun…” That line impresses me every time. Say what you will, I think Jay is a genius.

Clearly these 'artists' have nothing to say. Maybe they just pretend to be morons so their fans can associate. I think these rappers are actually geniuses.

Small correction; the Lil Wayne song is “”Ride 4 My Niggas”….which is a pretty good song.

Only one is a true lyricist and his made sense. If you shoot my dawg (my boy, my dog)… Imma kill your cat (back in the day they said cats instead of my dawgs). Jay's had much worse. In that same song he kills it with “I am the Michael Schumacher of the Roc Roster, travelin' mach 5….. barrelin', my apparel can stop God.”

This article should have been named “The best 10 lyrics”, these are gold too.  Luda's line is awesome, and that was the best line in “You's a ho”.

That Lil' Wayne line is probably his finest hour. And I don't mean that as an insult - I genuinely think it's pretty awesome. And it goes without saying, of course, that most of these guys are really good lyricists. Except Puff Daddy, obviously. Nobody knows why he's rich and famous.
