Mercifully, the tide has receded, most of those trds broke up, and Japandroids consistently spell their name normally now, using it to release the life-affirmingly awesome Celebration Rock this week. But what if the trend had continued unabated? Nay, what if the trend had begun decades sooner?
Last weekend, a hologram of the very dead Tupac Shakur performed on stage at Coachella with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. In a bold, early move, the venerable desert festival has released the poster for its 2013 edition, a surprisingly eclectic collection of dead people who will play as holograms all weekend long.
