The United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network just released their annual “World Happiness Report” for 2013.
A number of different measures contribute to the average overall happiness of any given country, including GDP per capita, life expectancy, freedom to make life choices, and even overall generosity and social support.
Below is a ranking of the top 20 happiest countries in the world, from least happy to most happy.
