    Swimsuits can be stressful. But you've probably broken more than one of these bathing suit laws. Following these simple swimwear rules could change how you wear bathing suits forever.

    1. Thou Shalt Not Settle When Shopping

    Of course you'll be tempted to settle for a bathing suit that kind of fits. Trying on pieces that make you feel fatter than you actually are, feeling like it takes forever, not finding a good enough deal, . These are just some of the things that make swimsuit shopping hard.

    But don't break the number one rule of looking amazing in your swimwear. Settling for a suit that's alright will make you look alright. Get a swimsuit that you love that flatters your body and you'll look and feel your best.

    Even if you don't find anything that day keep looking until you find something that you do fall in love with. This is why shopping online for bathing suits is so useful. You don't waste any time traveling back and forth to the store. You just log onto a site and browse.

    Lots of women know what style swimsuit looks good on them. And they probably buy bathing suits that are very similar. Whether its a halter top or bandeau bikini, a tankini or a maillot, stripes or solid prints, try something new. Look at fashion magazines and see what's in this beach season. You never know when you'll find a style or a type of women's swimwear that looks better on you than you realize.

    When it comes to bathing suits and beachwear, the line between sophisticated and sleazy is pretty easy to avoid. Rich colors and fun patterns are classy. Neon colors and graphic designs are not. Moderate and full bottom coverage; refined. Thong and Brazilian bottoms; not so much. Classy yet seductive bikinis; yes. Skimpy itsty bitsy bikinis; no. Remember you're a real woman, make sure your swimwear reflects that.

    And for goodness sakes nothing that looks like it belongs on a 7 year old.

    The more you wear it the more your swimsuit will lose its elasticity and start to pull just like any other piece of clothing. But thanks to the spandex material, even if you take proper care of it, it will wear out faster. And because of the exposure to the sun, chlorine and salt water the colors are much more likely to fade.

    Of course there's also the simple fact that a new swimpiece will look much better than an old one. Not to mention how you'll look much more fashionable.

    8. Thou Shalt Be Bold In Your Swimwear

    Even if she looks like she could have been on the cover of last years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition don't feel intimidated or jealous. She probably worked hard for her body and should be respected for that. And there's no reason to be jealous as you can still look amazing in a bikini or other bathing suit. It's just a mater of finding which ones highlight your best features and look best on you.

    And if you're still feeling jealous, don't just want to have a body like hers, get body like hers. Start eating healthier and exercise more. Even if you don't wind up looking like Victoria Secret model, you'll still feel more confident with yourself. That air of confidence will help you look even better.

    10. Thou Lookest Better Than Thou Thinks In Your Swimwear

    Lots of women feel self-conscious in their swimwear. They think they look fat or unattractive. But the fact is you look better than you think. There are even scientific studies that prove this. Once you accept this fact you'll feel much more comfortable in your swimwear. Remember confidence is half of what it takes to look your best in a swimsuit.
