1. Learning how to drive is not just a passing of time as a grownup. It's a necessity.
2. But if you couldn't drive, PT was your best friend. Especially as a teeny bopper.
3. Or your frenemy…depending on how delayed the train is.
4. Drinking in public requires master discipline...
5. Because public transport isn't 24/7 and cabs are too damn pricy.
6. And don't even get us started on the mad morning melee.
7. ...or the home hour hustle.
8. Even Bronwyn Bishop would rather fly to Geelong from Melbourne...
9. Your primary school AND high school probably looked something like this…
10. With “portables”
11. There’s going to be people who’s never heard of your suburb before.
12. And if you had to describe where it was, you spoke of train lines.
13. We all have our versions of unsavoury people.
14. And have something unique to complain (or be proud) about.
15. But if someone bagged your suburb…you’d defend it like it’s your kingdom.
16. Because despite making it harder for you to get to work in the mornings…
17. The suburbs are quieter and have cheaper costs of living.
18. Most likely, that’s where the entire family lives too…
19. And even though sometimes, you ache to live in the city with the other grownups…
20. The ‘burbs will always be home. And you’ll always be welcome to it.
