You clearly don’t get it. This show is genius. The only thing that I thought was idiotic was Deb falling for dexter. Deb is unstable, searching for the attention her father gave her… that’s why she has so many bad relationships. Lundy represented a father figure. EVER HEARD OF ELECTRA COMPLEX? And the drug dealer was just her trying to cope with the news that Dexter was a serial killer. Miguel Prado had reasons to become dexter’s co-worker, but was never a protégé. Dexter never taught him the code! Dexter’s relationships are because he’s trying to become human. He wants to find love. The Lumen thing can also be explained by the fact that Rita had just died… He needed human connection. The purpose of the show is to make a human out of a serial killer. That’s why Vogel was brought in, as well. Without her we wouldn’t have a person call dexter the perfect psychopath and realize he wasn’t! I could go on, but I won’t. Also, if you were going to pick on anything… why wouldn’t you pick on the fact that Dexter is a terrible parent and never takes care of Harrison? The author of this show is clearly not a fan or an avid watcher of the show.
