• Better to be remade in Obama's image than Santorum's. Hell, better to be remade into a frothy mixture of anal lube and fecal matter than remade into Rick Santorum.

  • So let me get this straight — Dave Mustaine is giving Santorum credit for going home to see his sick daughter? That's something you're SUPPOSED to do as a father. That shouldn't be commendable, and the fact that Mustaine thinks it's something that earns kudos is just sad. (Also, Santorum isn't doing attack ads? What rock is he living under?)

  • The problem with assuming this is great because these children will remember it always is that if their parents splurge like this for the holidays, it's a safe bet to assume that they splurge like this for every holiday. And at that point, what's to remember about it? It's not like some lower-class kid getting an enormous birthday party with ponies and clowns and a bouncy house one year even though every other year she gets a simple cake and a few cheap presents, if that. That kid would remember the hell out of that party. These kids will think this is just an everyday thing. That's how you create the opposite of a circle of poverty - a circle of wealth. These kids are going to learn from this sort of extravagance and expect accordingly, and that's how we end up with twits like James O'Keeffe who think anyone who earns less than $250k is some sort of whiny slacker.
