16 Times 2015 Proved "Harry Potter" Will Never Die

The series that lived forever.

1. J.K. Rowling announced a brand-new Harry Potter play.

2. And shortly afterward she let us know that it is DEFINITELY NOT A PREQUEL, thank you very much.

3. Months later we learned that it is in fact an honest-to-God Potter sequel about Harry's son Albus Severus.

4. And when tickets went on sale, Harry Potter fans were as enthusiastic as ever.

5. Eddie Redmayne was cast as adventuring magizoologist Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

6. And then, eventually, we actually got our first look at the film.

7. Also, apparently American wizards say "No-maj" instead of "Muggle."

8. Jo mastered the use of her Twitter account, reminding the world that even when she's talking about other things, the Harry Potter queen rules all.

9. Teddy Lupin was revealed to be a Hufflepuff, finally giving the house the win it's long deserved.

10. And Tom Felton got sorted into Gryffindor, disappointing Slytherins everywhere.

11. Turns out Jo is still the proud mother of the cast after all these years. <3

12. The illustrated edition of the Sorcerer's Stone was released, with gorgeous art by Jim Kay to complement the story we all fell in love with all those years ago.

13. Pottermore totally revamped its website, making content much more accessible for people who are terrible at potions games.

14. Rowling used the revamp as a time to reveal some history about the Potter family. For example, did you know that James Potter's father's name was Fleamont?

15. Harry Potter fans continued to be awesome by leaving socks for the encaged Dobby at Warner Bros. Studio.

16. And untethered to canon but indicative that WE WILL NEVER LET THIS SERIES GO: A new Potter Puppet Pals episode came out in 2015.

THE MAGIC WILL NEVER END!
