17 Photos That Offer A Rare Look At North Korea's Interiors

Journalist Oliver Wainwright captured the country's unique interiors during a tour of Pyongyang.

Oliver Wainwright, architecture and design critic for The Guardian, toured North Korea and took photos of the country's varied interior design, giving us an amazing and rarely seen inside peek at the Hermit Kingdom.

Wainwright noted that many of the interiors look like sets from a Wes Anderson film, in large part due to the symmetry. "Every view and prospect is carefully framed," he said.
