New Single From Canada's Arkells Does Some Good

Fresh off the success of "Leather Jacket" and "Come to Light", not to mention that Juno win for Group of the Year, Arkells are back with their next single, "Hey Kids!" And this single comes with a message.

Teaming up with Partners in Health, a group that brings medical care to those in need around the world, Arkells wanted to make a difference. Proceeds from sales of the single will go directly to Partners in Health (hint: head on over to iTunes).

The video was filmed at Dundas Valley Montessori School in Dundas, Ontario, and it's filled with precious kids, which suits the song just fine, given that a line in the song goes like this: "Hey Kids, you’re so precious. You’re just a girl like the rest of us."

Max Kerman, lead singer, says when it comes down to it, "Hey Kids!" is about empathy, making the pairing of the single with Partners in Health a natural fit. "Seeing the youthful vigor of the kids in the video serves as a reminder that not everyone is afforded the same healthcare support systems and infrastructure that most Canadians are," says Kerman. "We're all deserving of love and care."
