1. The moment you read President Obama's (the White House) statement dissing BSL (Breed Standard Legislation).
2. Before you got your pitbull... people were like: "They have hip problems!"
3. Or maybe they were like: “They have skin problems!”
4. Doing any kind of pitbull related research and all you can find is...
5. When people tell you your pitbull puppy is going to be big when he/she grows up.
6. Followed by some variation of: “But she/he’s going to be a PITBULL, right?”
7. When people say (slightly incredulously): “Why that breed?”
8. When a person tells you about an obscure news story they read about a pitbull killing a baby.
9. Being asked if your pitbull is a rednose or bluenose.
10. Then being told your rednose is more aggressive than a bluenose (or vice versa).
11. When people on social media call their (obvious) pitbulls American Staffordshire Terriers or Amstaffs because they’re ashamed/worried of what people will say/think if they hear “pit”.
12. When you suddenly decide your pitbull is a “Lab-mix” when filling out an application for an apartment.
13. When that one person dares to tell you that you got the wrong breed for you.
14. And they clearly mean it because you’re a girl, or because you just are a person of smaller stature.
15. When your pitbull is behaving better than all the other dogs in the dog park and you’re like…
16. But then someone ruins your moment with: “So well behaved, is he/she ALL pit?”
17. Getting asked from the second you get your pitbull if you’re going to neuter/spay him/her.
18. Then being TOLD you HAVE to.
19. Fending off the 1000 comments about how “strong” or “aggressive” your dog is/will be.
20. But you realize, really, they’re just afraid of pitbulls because they're chicken.
21. The one person who owned a pitbull too and tries to tell you everything they ever learned in their whole life about dogs.
22. The relief you feel when that person finally goes away to bother another pitbull owner.
23. When yuppie moms want to prove how accepting of pitbulls they are so they encourage their two-year-old children to shove their hands down your pitbull's throat.
24. When you see another person walking a pitbull, it’s always like:
25. But at the end of the day, YOU love your pitbull, and to anyone who doesn't, you're like:
