Traffic reporter Mark Arum found the perfect way to pay tribute to the five foot assassin, Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest.
Founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, Malik Isaac Taylor, better known as Phife Dawg, died on March 22, at age 45.
In this one-minute traffic report Mark incorporates classic ATCQ rhymes into his traffic report. And the results are amazing.
He transitions with lines from A Tribe Called Quest's "Award Tour" to "Check The Rhime" seamlessly.
Even Fred Blankenship drops an extremely appropriate gem from "Jazz."
Oh, and people are LOVING it.
Nothing but respect from hip-hop heads all around.

"Phife and Tribe were the soundtrack of my youth," Arum told BuzzFeed of his inspired tribute. "I was crushed when I heard the news this morning just before we went on the air. I wanted to pay tribute to him somehow, so I just decided to mix in some of his lyrics into my traffic reports."
Arum said he's been "dropping hip hop lyrics into my reports for years," but usually only one or two per show. "I decided to let them fly this morning."
Phife Diggy would be proud.
