    Sainsbury's 2014 Christmas advert is one of the best this season. They worked with the Royal British Legion to recreate Christmas Day 1914 when British and German soldiers laid down their arms to celebrate the holiday.

    Like a typical beer commercial, there is a heavy animal presence in this ad. However, Budweiser takes a new spin on a serious issue. Highlighting the relationship between a man and his pup, this not so typical beer ad iterates the severity of drinking and driving. A title slide reads, “For some, the waiting never ended. But we can change that.”

    The seven commercials from SS+K and O Positive Films uses the uncomfortable reality of watching a steamy scene in the presence of your parents to a hilarious level, pointing out the benefits of enjoying HBO "far, far away from your parents."

    Guinness's "Made of More" campaign took center stage during the Fourth of July by making the most patriotic ad of the holiday.

    This ad is the second of the campaign. Its predecessor being "Basketball."

    The best sports endorsement of 2014 comes from Under Armour. The campaign targets women and changes the face of endorsements (for the better). It's empowering and astonishing as American Ballet Theatre soloist Misty Copeland's voice reads out the critiques she heard as a young dancer.

    Director Tatia Pilieva created this short film for a small clothing label in Los Angeles and it quickly became a viral sensation. It had 5 million views in the first day and almost 95 million to date.

    Pileva also made another short film entitled "Undress Me". This work seemed to set of a canon of similar videos: "The Slap" and "First Gay Hug."

    In the year of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, there has been a surplus of PSA, non-for-profit and charity fundraising ads. This PSA addresses the civil war in Syria and its impact on more than 5 million children. Save the Children brought the idea of a war home for Britain.

    W+K and P&G team up to create the best ad from the Sochi Winter Olympics. This transcends language barriers and tells the story of endurance and perseverance through four story lines in an endearing way. It reminds everyone of both the bond between mother and child, and the desire for someone to support you in your life.

    Some controversy arose with the absence of dads in this campaign. However, as the primary purchasers of P&G products at the supermarket, women are the target market and this ad will hook those customers.
