Jeremiah Succar, a 7-year-old patient with cancer at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, got a wonderful dose of excitement when Rachel Platten stopped by to sing her inspiring hit "Fight Song" with him.
Jeremiah is being treated for stage 4 atypical rhabdoid teratoid, which is an aggressive tumor found in the brain and spinal cord.
Jeremiah is a huge fan of the song. According to his dad, Jerry Succar, "He used to sing it when he got a lot of headaches, but now he sings it in the morning, before bed and during shots he has to get.”
Once his parents realized what the song meant to him, they started an Instagram campaign, #RachelMeetJeremiah, which eventually reached Platten on Twitter.
