When Ann Trachtenberg started chemotherapy for breast cancer, she joked that she wanted a marching band to play her out of her final session. Thanks to a bit of planning from her niece and the University of Wisconsin Marching Band, Ann got a big surprise!
On Monday, July 20, Ann finished the last of six cycles of chemotherapy. When she exited the hospital, she and her daughter Lindsay were greeted by the Wisconsin State Marching Band.
It was Ann's niece, Stephanie Richter (not pictured), who reached out and arranged for the band to be there, after Ann had joked about it at the start of chemo.
