1. Rinse Your Mouth from a Glass
Kitty knows there’s no need to keep the water running while brushing your teeth. Just wet your brush and rinse your mouth. Try using a glass or bottle to get in the habit.
2. Shave in Just a Few Inches of Water
Rinse your razor in a cup of warm water. Your razor will be clean, you’ll look good, and water will be saved. Genius.
3. Use a Dry Shampoo
Skip the lather, rinse and repeat and use a dry shampoo instead.
4. Don’t Forget to Wipe
A four-minute shower uses approximately 20 to 40 gallons (75-150 L) of water. Who do you think you are, Poseidon? Take a sponge bath - or use baby wipes!
5. Defrost Food in the Fridge Ahead of Time
Don’t use running water to thaw food. To save water and keep food safe, defrost it in the fridge.

Food will be just as clean, and your water bill will look SOOO much sexier.
Reuse leftover water from cooked or steamed food to start a nutritious soup.

9. Use Poopy Fish Water to Feed Plants
If you have a fish tank, clean it and use the water you’ve drained on your plants. The water is rich in nitrogen and phosphorus. Water = saved. Fertilizer = free.
10. Feed Plants Dirty Ice
