@Andrew: Read the excerpts from Hick’s transcript — the timeline he lays out reveals the idiocy of this whole line of complaint. The first rescue team arrived just hours after the attack, at 1:15am. The second, which is being referenced here, took off from Tripoli an hour after the final attack occurred. It didn’t include Phillip’s four man special forces team, but again it was too late to have mattered and they were only armed with pistols (the final attack was a mortar attack) so even if they had a time machine and could have been there it’s likely for the best that they weren’t.
