The demo was created as part of a "Game Jam" by indie developers Coffee Stain Studios.
Once it was put on YouTube, it racked up over 200,000 hits in 24 hours.
Which is more than any of the studio's trailers for real games combined. Now there's a clamour for the game building on social media.
The internet has made up its mind. Grand Theft Goat needs to happen.
