So back in February, Edwin Wheeler, 30, from Oregon, got a text. He decided to reply.
And then, nothing happened...until July.
Whereupon he got into a conversation...
...and the person didn't seem to be catching on, despite the beard pics.
And they still hadn't learned by August.
Wheeler posted the pictures to Imgur, where they blew up...
...and he concluded: "Maybe I should just accept my life as the bearded Wendy."
