Excuse my correction, i agree with your main point however, Pathological is a descriptor which means prone to repeatedly do something (usually relating to a mental state). Like a pathological liar is a person who repeatedly lies about things. A more accurate use of the word would be the following. Glenn Beck is a pathological alcohol drinker that should have drank himself to death ages ago, but instead has continued living to be a pathological douche.  The more you know :)
