8 Things Miami University Seniors Will Miss Most About Oxford, Ohio

As the class of 2015 heads off into the journey we like to call the real world, there will always be a small part of Oxford, Ohio that will be in our hearts forever. These are a few of the things that we will miss the most after we dive into the rest of our lives.

1. Bagel & Deli

We have all waited in the sloppy line in desperation to satisfy those late night munchies after a long night at Brick Street. At the risk of sounding like a freshman, we'll all miss the coveted Crunch n Munch.

2. Going out on a Tuesday...and Wednesday...and Thursday

Will it be socially acceptable to go out 4-5 nights out of the week after college? When we no longer have the excuse of being college students, drinking every night of the week has the risk of being considered alcoholism.

3. King Library

As much as we hate it, a small piece of all of us resides in the depths of King Library. The endless all-nighters, group projects and cram sessions before that dreaded exam, a small part of us will miss the nights and days we spent at King.

4. Green Beer Day

The excitement we as Miami students have to drink cheap green beer for 24 hours is similar to a child waiting for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. Some might consider this concerning, but nothing can compare to the Thursday before Spring Break in Oxford, Ohio.

5. Beat the Clock and Broken Clock

When is the next time we'll be able to pay $1 for a pitcher of lukewarm Natural Light? Probably not until our next visit to Oxford. So drink up that sweet nectar while we still can, ladies and gents.

6. Walking Everywhere

Whether it's walking to class, a friend's house or uptown, it's hard to say when we'll be so conveniently located to all of our responsibilities, friends and (most importantly) bars.

7. The Most Beautiful Campus There Ever Was

Whether it's the changing leaves in the fall or the first snow in the winter, taking in the sights of campus is still breathtaking, even four years later.

8. Tradition

Something about Miami makes us all feel like we're a part of something bigger than ourselves. Despite our differing organizational affiliations, backgrounds and friend groups, we're all Miami students sharing the same small town, walking the same paths and admiring the same traditions. While we'll all miss being students here, we'll carry with us our Miami pride wherever we go, and at the sight of a fellow Redhawk alumni, none of us will be shy to say "Love and Honor."
