Raise an eyebrow.

We”ll be going through two brow techniques - how to do a pencil brow, and how to do a powder brow.

3. To do a pencil brow, you will need:

An eyebrow pencil. Try to match the eyebrow pencil to your eyebrow colour as closely as possible. We’re using a MAC pencil in Spiked.

A clear brow gel.

A brow brush. If you don’t have one, you could easily just use a *clean* mascara wand.

4. Begin by brushing the brows into an arch. Move the brush in light upwards strokes.

5. Then, using your pencil, fill in the brows lightly to add structure and shape.

Remember: The more pressure you put on the pencil, the darker it will be.

6. If there are gaps, fill them in with the pencil.

Brush through again to soften the lines, and repeat. Finish with brow gel to set.

7. The end result is groomed perfection. For a more natural look, read on.

(Pencilled brow on the left, versus natural brow on the right for comparison)

8. To do a powder brow, you will need:

A flat, brown eyeshadow. We’re using Espresso by MAC, and Omega by MAC, but you don’t have to use two colours.

A clear brow gel.

An angled brush - we’re using a number 266 by MAC, but you could also use a clean angled eyeliner brush.

A brow brush. If you don’t have one, you could easily just use a *clean* mascara wand.

9. Brush the eyebrows as before.

10. Load your brush with the powder, and fill in the brow - the same way you would with the pencil.

Remember: The arch should be the darkest part of the brow - if you’re using a dark and a lighter powder, use the darker powder in the arch.

11. Set with brow gel and enjoy!
