1. Scientists at Nanyang Technological University have managed to make animals vanish into thin air.

The device works by using panels of glass, which bends light around objects - making them invisible. The device currently only works from certain angles. However, there could be ‘important security, entertainment and surveillance applications’ for the cloak, according to team leader Baile Zhang.
