World’s Largest Apple Store Coming To Grand Central Station
New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority is handing over 23,000 square feet of Grand Central Station for Apple to build its largest store in the world. The 10-year lease for the Apple store will go for $800,000 per month with a renewal option for $1 million per month. (via.)

Mark Bakalor a year agoThe article clearly says that the $800,000 payment is YEARLY not monthly. It seems pretty clear that a profit of well more than $3 / hour (or if it’s open 24 hours a day a buck fifty per minute) in such prime real estate will be simple. This deal will pay for itself easily. Rent balloons to $1 million per year after 10 years.
