Kevin Spacey's "Lungi Dance" - IIFA 2014
Spacey was in Tampa for the IIFA awards (aka the 'Bollywood Oscars'), India's largest film awards celebration, which was being hosted in the United States for the first time ever.
The multi-talented actor was joined on stage by 'Entertainer of the Year' award winning actress and star of the film "Chennai Express", Deepika Padukone- as well as IIFA hosts: Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar. The Bollywood stars convinced Spacey to don the lungi - a traditional garment worn in many parts of the world but especially in India- and do a little lungi dance for the crowd of 20,000 at the Raymond James Stadium.
According to Visit Florida, IIFA is "expected to draw 800 million viewers in 110 countries, $11 million to the Tampa area and 30,000 local visitors."
Earlier in the day, Spacey held a an acting "master class" in which he discussed a range of topics from his work in the hit series 'House of Cards', to the differences in acting for television, movies, or the stage. On Bollywood and Hollywood working closer together, Spacey said "well, it's about (expletive) time".
Spacey was not the only Hollywood celebrity to attend, Stephen Baldwin and John Travolta also made electrifying appearances. Travolta was presented with an award for Outstanding Achievement in International Cinema and even did a bit of dancing of his own!
