    Some Unlikely Elvis Impersonators

We all know that Elvis was The King, but these Elvis Presley impersonators have taken his legacy and continued it for an entirely new generation. What makes these tributes so special, is that they are presented by some of the most unlikely people. While there are surely thousands of impersonators out there, theseare some of the most unique.

Elvis Presley Impersonators Come From All Over The World

Back in 2007 'The Worlds Greatest Elvis' Competition hit the stage and hundreds of Elvis Presley impersonators auditioned to be given the title as Worlds Greatest. One of those hopefuls was Pennsylvania native, Shawn Klush. Shawn has been an Elvis fan since childhood. As he grew up and started impersonating his hero, people told him he should enter competitions. After winning several local awards he made his way to Vegas. There he spent time as one of the top Elvis Presley impersonators in the hit show 'Legends In Concert'. He rose to worldwide recognition when he won the Worlds Greatest Elvis competition.

Elvis really made a name for himself when it came to performing in Las Vegas. When you go there now, you can not walk down the street without seeing at least a dozen different Elvis Presley impersonators. Even in the hotels, you will find plenty of tribute artists paying homage to The King. One of the best is known as "Big Elvis", Peter Vallee. Vallee has been singing like Elvis since age 13 and is currently starring in his own show "Big Elvis" that plays nightly at Harrah's Piano Bar.

John Stamos. Yeah, that John Stamos. He also donned the look of The King in a classic episode of the hit TV series, Full House. His character, Jesse, was even named after Elvis' twin brother! Now, we all know that John Stamos never continued his career as an Elvis Presley impersonator, but he did go on to be one of the most recognizable faces of the 90's. Who knows, maybe we will see him reprise his role one more time. Until then, all we have is this very funny video clip.

Hows this for an interesting twist? The former Prime Minister of Japan, Junichiro Koizumi cites Elvis as one of his personal heroes and was beside himself when he got the chance to be at the singer's former home while spending the day with former President, George W. Bush. At one point during the day he sang a few lines from "Love Me Tender" and even busted a few moves. It certainly was the most interesting tribute we have seen in a long time.
