I didn’t read your article because I don’t care about TS, but I saw your title and had to comment. Your title is a fallacy: think about it. If people read your article, they disprove the idea that people don’t want to read about TS. (Reading an article on how people don’t read about TS, IS reading about TS.) So if this article is popular, maybe people DO want to read about TS, but only in the context of hating on her?

Thanks Lady Gaga. Way to raise the bar. It’s disgusting to waste money this way when there are so many people in need. I don’t hate Lady Gaga, but I think she needs to grow up.

I can see linking it to her movie being offensive, but how on earth is that the equivalent to blackface? It is attire. It is more equivalent to a Native American wearing jeans or a playing cricket — which is obviously totally fine. When can we all just start loving each other as humans and stop getting mad at each other. People wear feathers because they are gorgeous, not to mock other cultures.

So should I be offended if a Native American wears jeans? I don’t understand why wearing a feather could possibly be offensive. The headdress is a direct reference to Native American culture and is sexualized; I find it offensive as well.
In another scenario, what if someone admires and appreciates the traditions of native cultures and wears a feather symbolically. Would that be offensive?

It is one thing to sexualize a headdress. It is a totally different thing to use feathers in fashion.

This is STUPID. How do you have a job? These are not real dates. Anyone could do this. I know, next make a list of super powers you’d like to have that aren’t really super powers.

yeah there must be more to this story. Teachers are not allowed to have physical contact with students, (yes that’s right, technically not even supposed to hug a kid), so if she was being violent, the school may have needed to call security.

Fail. First of all our title “video game graphics don’t matter” is a misnomer. Of course they matter. Second, the games you’re comparing appeal to widely different crowds (although there is some intersection). Third, the graphic and art styles are totally and intentionally different. One attempts to be realistic shooting. The other is an artistic exploitation game with literary allusions, etc. etc. FOURTH, look at games like Riven (1997) and Myst Exile (2001) with largely better graphics than Crysis YEARS ago. Sure the point and click style may annoy some people — but these indie games are about something different. Which is what your article is missing.
