The worst Tinder dates I've been on

My worst dates that I've been on from Tinder. I have used different names to keep the people anonymous.

1. Bradley

Everything was arranged at the last minute because people had cancelled plans on me. I got off the train and Bradley wasn't there so I tired calling him and texting him but he didn't answer so I started to worry that he had stood me up. After about a minute he came in and then we started walking and we were getting along well. We went to a pizza restaurant and shared pizza and garlic bread and then we got desserts, I had to pay because there was something wrong with his card so he didn't have any money. Then we walked around and went to an arcade place and we talked for a while longer. I asked Blessing a few riddles and he got most of them wrong so it was quite funny. After that we walked back to the train station and we just missed the train so I had to wait for the next one. Bradley had to leave because he had to go to a friend's party so I had to wait at the train on my own. I was really cold and my hands were going numb since it was Winter. Then after I'd paid for everything and it was pretty expensive he ghosted me.

2. Sam

I got an early train and I had to wait at the station for 30 minutes because Sam wasn't ready. Then Sam texted to say he was outside so I went out and met him. We walked to a restaurant and he shared the fried chicken with me. Then we both had mains and desserts and everything was going well and we were getting along well. Sam paid which I thought was very nice and then we started walking. He said that I was a culchie because I live in a village and I'd never heard of the term so he thought it was really funny. I thought it was a bit rude to call me a culchie just because I don't live in the city. Then we sat on a bench outside and I was saying that it was cold and Sam put his arm around me and pulled me against him which I thought was very forward. I felt a bit awkward and then he took my glasses off me and put them on, I was really annoyed cause he didn't even ask if he could try them on. After a while we started to walk to the train station and then he stopped and kissed me and it was so bad. I thought it was quite rude to kiss on a first date and he surprised me with it. Then we continued walking and he kept saying that my hands were really small and it felt like he was holding a baby's hand. He lifted me up without asking and joked about throwing me in the water which I didn't like at all. Then we got to the train station and he stayed until my train came. I hugged him goodbye and then got on the train home. I told him I didn't see things going anywhere and he was fine with it.

3. Carl

I had been talking to Carl for a few days and we had been getting along really well so I arranged to meet up with him at university since we go to the same one. I sat at the university and after a while he arrived and when I stood up I noticed how short he was, he had told me that he was 5 foot 6 but he was actually 5 foot 4 so he was too short for me. If I'd been in any kind of heels then I would've been taller than him. We went to the students union and we talked for a while, we were getting on well but sometimes I couldn't hear what he was saying and I didn't find him very attractive.

I got a bit hungry so we went to a sandwich shop at uni and I was annoyed cause he didn't offer to pay for it. Then we sat down and I ate half of the sandwich. We talked for a while longer and he said he didn't want the sandwich to go to waste so he ate the rest of it. I was annoyed that he ate the rest of the sandwich cause he hadn't even paid for it or offered. Then we left cause most places were closing and then he drove me to the train station. I gave him a hug and he looked really nervous, like I was going to kiss him. When I got home Carl soon texted me and I told him that I had a good time but I just wanted to be friends. He seemed ok with it but then the next day he was making me feel bad by saying that I hadn't been honest and that I thought he was ugly. I apologised and told him that I had been honest and then he sent me a gif of someone giving the middle finger. I blocked him from everything and we haven't talked since.

4. Peter

He was a few minutes late cause he was standing outside with a friend or something. As soon as I met Peter I smelt a very strange smell from him, it was very strong and not nice. Peter took a while to decide where to go. We went into the restaurant and I hadn't heard of any of the food so I kinda picked randomly. The food arrived and I tried a bit of it and I really didn't like it and neither did Peter so we didn't eat the food. The food I was eating also smelt like Peter which was very strange, i think it was the halloumi cheese The staff brought over the bill even though we hadn't asked for it which I thought was weird. Peter paid for the food and then we decided to go to another restaurant. We got there and ordered food and it was really nice. We talked for a while but there were a few silences. Peter paid for the food again which I thought was really nice and then we sat at the park for a while. We went to the train station and he waited until my train arrived. I couldn't see him again because he smelt so ad to me.

5. David

We had arranged to meet at a train station but when I got to the platform it wasn't going to the right station so the timetable was wrong. I had to call David and thankfully he was good about it and said he would go to the other station. I got off the train and I saw David and his hair was a lot nicer than the photos and he looked good. We walked to the restaurant and I thought David was very funny. We ordered food and it was nice talking with him. I told a knock, knock joke which I think it funny but David said it was a bad joke which I thought was quite rude. He kept going on about wanting to see if the grapes behind me were real which I found annoying. Then we got desserts and I offered to share mine but he didn't offer to share his. David paid for the food which I thought was nice and then we left. I found out that he smokes and I really hate when people smoke. David nearly took me to the wrong station until I told him it was the wrong one so it took us longer to get back. David waited with me and then I hugged him goodbye and got on the train.

I had to wait for 20 minutes because David's train was arriving later than mine. We went to a park and there was an indoor part which was really warm so we quickly came out of it and sat on a bench. I saw a big dog and I told David not to let it attack me and he said he would run away which I thought seemed rude. We talked for a while and then we went to the cinema and we saw a Quiet Place. I had gone to the toilet and when I came back I slipped on my coat that I left on the floor and I thought it was quite funny. I thought the movie was quite scary so I screamed at parts in it. We had shared popcorn and because David had smoked before the date the popcorn tasted burnt and it was disgusting. After the movie we went and sat on a bench and we talked for a while. David kissed me and I thought it was fine but he was in the wrong position so he kissed me again but he made everything awkward and I don't think he liked the kiss. Then we walked to the train and David waited until my train arrived. I told David I didn't want to see him again because I was too busy and he thought I was lying so I ignored him.

6. John

John got on the train and he sat beside me and he was easy to talk to. We got off the train and we started walking to the restaurant and John kept telling me not to worry about the cars when I was being cautious crossing the road which was a bit annoying. John was indecisive about what restaurant to go to but he finally picked and we went in and got food. I had suggested sharing the pizza but instead we got two which I thought was a bit weird. He kept asking if I wanted to go on another date which was annoying cause I said I did. John was telling me not to worry about things when I already wasn't worried about them.

Josh seemed a bit racist cause I told him about my ex and he said people from Pakistan are the worst which I didn't like. He also said he didn't believe in the gender pay gap. John wanted me to try coffee even though I told him I didn't like it. He also kept doing a chavy accent which was really annoying. John paid for the food which I thought was nice then we left the restaurant and we started walking to the cinema. We got to the cinema and then we saw Venom. We talked through the ads and he said that someone behind us said to be quiet which I thought was weird.

I loved the film and when it was over we started walking back to the station. John asked me to be his girlfriend and I was shocked cause it was only our first date so I said no. Then he kept saying that I had to ask him out and it really put me off him. When I got home I told John I didn't want to date him and he wanted to be my friend but I thought he was too creepy and needy. I saw a few spam messages from him weeks after the date.
