Going To The Movies Vs Watching A Movie At Home

Staying at home and watching a movie is a great option for those who want to watch a good movie when there seem to be nothing in theaters that sparking their interest. Sure you won’t be watching the newest movie but with the different Dish Network TV you can get HBO, Cinemax or Showtime. There are always a slew of different movies and TV shows to pick from on those channels and on Netflix or Hulu.

A great perk of staying home to watch a movie is you can eat your own food. Movie theaters food prices are very expensive in comparison to elsewhere and not to mention the selection is quite limited. When you stay at home you

have the ability to order out, cook your own food or just eat snacks. Whatever you want to eat is up to you.

When watching a movie at home, you have the choice of sitting in your favorite comfy seat, the floor, sofa or even lying down snuggle up. Speaking of seats, in the movie theater it can be hard to get those perfect seats you want. Unless you get there early it's most likely those vital middle row section seats are going to be gone. It’s a mad dash to get to the best seat!

Probably one of the most valued part of staying home is you don’t have to worry about others talking or texting during the most important parts.

While going to the theater you do get that true “theater experience” with the large screen, the dimmed lights and the fresh smell of popcorn in the air. This can be hard to try and replicate at home, even though with home theaters now of days you can come close. Also certain movies coming up like Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 or Star Wars: Episode VIII they just can’t be watched anywhere else but the big screen.

Another benefit of going to the theater is you can watch the newest movies right when they come out. Sometimes you just want to be part of the conversation and the excitement. Sure you could wait into those movies are streaming online or on TV, but sometimes you just want to watch the movie when everyone else is. This will also prevent the movie plot from being spoiled for you.

So what do

you prefer? Do you like to go to the movies or do you want to stay at home?
