Can I just say there are two kinds of idiots behind this viral trend: the idiots trying to be funny on the internet by mooning a camera, and the idiots that continued the trend. There's even some talk of the trend being called art because it speaks to positive body imaging in beautiful places and blah, blah, blah. There's hashtags like #spreadthelove #nudeinnature and #belfie. Give a butt a great backdrop and it's no longer mooning, it's art! What's worse is that the trend has developed its own Instagram account dubbed cheekyexploits (which is annoyingly clever) with over 202K followers. That's 202K people that willing signed up to see butts, people.
Here's a group of ladies looking soulfully at the Eiffel Tower in the background with their drawers down. I can only think of all the tourists innocently leaning on that wall during the daylight, completely unaware of the butt that was there before them ....
And then there's this lady daredevil who appears to at least be mindful of the pedestrians' eyes in front of her by just giving a quick peek-a-boo shot instead of the full back and ... full frontal. You can cover your eyes, but you can never cover your mind's eye.
You. Should be ashamed of yourself. This is part of this woman's legacy now. "The woman next to the butt."
Um ... Ow?
Of course, like any viral trend, there are those that take it to the extreme and the only way to top posing with your pants down is ditching the clothes entirely and posing fully nude.
For the love of Pete, just keep it clean people. Keep it clean.
