    Marvel Cinematic Universe

    By: Deon Harris

With the new year just getting started, new movies are being released. Many people are looking forward to all the great movies that are soon to be released such as Avengers: Infinity War Part 1.

Avengers has always been a Box Office killer grossing over 12 billion dollars worldwide. It uses characters that have been around for a long time and uses the storylines to make some amazingly successful movies. And with the successful streak going back to back and it doesn't seem to be ending anytime soon. Some of the characters have their own solo TV shows such as Iron Fist, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Daredevil. The shows are Netflix Originals, but Marvel still owns the rights to the characters because they have partners with Marvel Television to make the amazing shows with awesome plots.

The long running ABC series Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D is proving itself to be among one of the best TV adaptations of the Marvel storyline. The storyline follows the rebirth of Agent Phil Coulson after his fatal run in with super villain Loki in the first Avengers which ultimately leads to the movie’s overall success. The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) consists of Phases that they tend to release the new content with each Phase Marvel movies seem to be better each time with actors and the CGI (Computer Generated Imagery).

The actors have no complaints about working with Marvel they all seem to love it. And they have a huge following on social media even the people who have never read comics can enjoy the movies for the story and plot. Marvel has some huge stars such as Robert Downey Jr., Samuel Jackson, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, and Scarlett Johansson.

With such big stars some may think how are they still making the movies with the amount that they pay the actors and this is because the actors love the roles and enjoy playing them. One marvel fan, Steven Gutekunst, had some opinions about the future of Marvel Movies and TV shows, “Well they will be filled with all of the good stuff that they haven’t figured out how to do yet.” And went on to say how he thinks the MCU can be improved, “Oh, like better and more well put together script and more flowing CGI. Not saying it’s bad now it. But there’s room for improvement.” Also went on to say about the past movies and how Marvel affect the MCU today, “Personally I think that the movies were amazing. But some of the more serious moments in the movie were down played. Like in the new Thor Ragnarok was happening and they were making jokes and its like they were just trying to make the movie more comedic than serious.” With all new movies in place for the next two years one can only imagine what the MCU has in store for all of us.
