This fuller-bodied, well-balanced, and versatile wine is perfect for pairing with your favorite foods — especially fish or cheese — or for sipping on its own!

Pinot Noir is having a moment! And did you know that Germany is the third-largest producer of Pinot Noir in the world? If you haven't tried a German Pinot Noir (otherwise known as Spätburgunder) yet, now is the time! Dry and fruity, with mild acidity and tannins, Pinot Noir is the perfect complement for meats, pasta, salmon, or anything grilled. Plus, it's great on its own.

You're not picky when it comes to food, so try a wine that goes with everything: a Riesling. German Riesling can range from light-to medium-bodied with citrus and orchard fruit, perfectly balanced by food-friendly acidity. And although Riesling sometimes gets a reputation for being sweet, in reality the grape can produce wines across the spectrum, from "trocken" (i.e. "dry") to off-dry and sweet. That's just one reason they're so easy to pair with all types of food.

Sekt, the name for German sparkling wine, can be made from a number of different grape varieties, including Riesling and the Pinots (Noir, Blanc, and Gris). This means it comes in a wide range of styles and pairs with almost any type of food, from the fanciest cheese to your backyard barbecue, and is perfect for a foodie like you. Fun fact: Germans drink more sparkling wine per capita than anyone else in the world.
