And I remembered "Don" can refer to a mafia boss

So I searched for Mafias in 1935 and guess what comes up?

Owney Madden, a mafia boss. Sounds like Owen right? Ronald T. Owen?

Owney retired from his mafia cover up job in 1933, and announced he'd be moving to Arkansas (right below missouri where Kansas city is located), but didn't arrive til sometime in 1935. Giving him time to murder Artemus.

Owney was born 1891 and supposedly had a younger sister, a man (presumably don) asked for Artemus to be buried in Memorial park Cemetery in Kansas city to be "near my sister"

At Memorial Park Cemetry in Kansas City a woman named "Edwina Madden" is buried, her mother's name is also Mary. Edwina was buried 7 years before the murder, and was 4 years younger than Owney.

He also had a history of killing, repeatedly stabbing one man, and has been suspected of killing people since he was a kid. They even nicknamed him "The Killer"

So Owney Madden might be the killer, but this still leaves a lot of questions unanswered...
