A New Means To Find Cavities Early

Often, many different forms of dental technology are there in order to help you find and alleviate any problems. One of the newest developments, and one that many dentists have, is the DiagnoDent. This is a machine that will help you find early cavities that are developing, allowing the dentist to help save the tooth with the least amount of invasive procedures. While it is a device that is pretty new, there are many benefits and great things that have already been found with this tool. It will help you find these cavities before you need root canals and extractions, which can really benefit not only the dentists, and the patients as well.

How this works is actually pretty simple. Most dentists will use this device to help find some of these small cavities. While many patients are afraid of the dentist chair already, this device will truly benefit the patient, for not only will it allow you to spend less time getting it removed, it also will allow the person to not have to get crowns, root canals, or extractions. Of course, if you avoid going to the dentist for a while, it might form anyways, but for those that are still in the early stages, this will give the patient a much easier time at the office, and less heartache.

How it works is pretty simple, and most dentists can learn it easily. To use this, the dentist must calibrate this device in order to have it fit the patient’s mouth and tooth structure. This is used on a tooth that has been cleaned recently, so this is usually used after cleaning. Have you have had a dentist try to look at your teeth for cavities after cleaning? Well, this is a great sort of substitute for this if you want an accurate presentation.

Once this is used, it can be scanned using a laser that will be on each tooth. The machine will then show the fluorescence of each tooth, with a larger amount showing a bigger sort of problem or cavity, indicating that action must be taken.

The machine works super-fast though, and if you’re the type who groans at the idea of trying to sit in a dentist chair for a while, this is the perfect tool for you. The DiagnoDent actually will find all of the cavities in the early stages in just a few moments. It will show a readout of the findings in a digital format, and often, the dentist will be able to show you just what you need to do. This is a good way to help find these early, but often, many dentists will definitely verify their results with x-rays and other examinations using probes, allowing the best and most accurate sort of readout for yourself. This is a great tool to have, and it will definitely give the doctor some evidence in order to go through with this next.

If you’re the type of person who also isn’t too keen on spending a ton of money at the dentist, this is a key tool for you to utilize as well. Cavities take a lot less money to fill than a possible root canal or crown. For many, when they get other procedures that may have been poorly done, this could create cavities as well. By allowing yourself to have this tool, you can save yourself a lot of money, and you’ll have to worry less about a person’s previous mistakes if that is the case. It’s a good way to help with oral health, but also to save you a ton of money too.

There are many dentists that do use this, and while it is a new tool, it’s a very popular one that will allow you to get the best and most accurate readings as well. You should take the time to find the best provider that you can, and definitely try to find one that uses this, for it can save you a ton of money, and much less time and anxiety in the dentist chair, now, and in the future for yourself in many ways.
