But as the saying goes, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Here's a few highly effective ways to find a special someone, even if it's only temporary.
1. Finding a date is a numbers game. Consider texting every single contact in your phone and asking if they have plans.
2. Start early. Christmas cards are the perfect way to get the message out.
3. Adopt the calculated approach: Text your mum's friends asking if their sons/daughters are available.
4. Is subtlety your game? Post story updates about how you're very single and wait for the nibbles.
