Your friends know that you are the person to come to if they have a problem that needs solving. You can always think of something that might help a situation feel a little less overwhelming and have become an expert at mediating between friends.

You're the pragmatic friend

You don’t deal well with tense situations and would rather bury your head in the sand than tackle something head-on. Your friends know that you take a little bit of time to process a situation so will give you some leeway when it comes to replying.
