Teen Wolf: The Movie is finally here, but in order to prepare yourself, we put together 10 key moments from the show as a warm-up for what’s about to come your way.

10. Scott becomes a true alpha.

Honoring Scott’s heart by making him a true alpha without having to kill anyone, was a kind gesture from the writers. This was one creative choice that helped move the plot along, without changing this character’s essence.

9. Scott turns Liam into a werewolf.

Liam is introduced in season 4 and was quickly embraced by the Teen Wolf fandom. His character had an innocence similar to Scott’s back in season 1, and at the same time, the proper amount of charisma to challenge Stiles and deliver some funny interactions. Liam’s character brought a new sense of responsibility for Scott beyond the usual supernatural war environment.

8. Lydia is a banshee.

For seasons, Lydia’s character felt like it was either the next victim or the next villain. And giving her, the ability to sense death and save other peoples lives, made the character flourish and become more interesting and badass through out the show. The more involved she was, the more the character was living up to the person that, at the beginning, only Stiles was able to see, becoming one of the shows greatest heroes.

7. Derek leaves Beacon Hills.

Was seeing Derek leave pleasing? Absolutely no! But since it was a reality that we, as a fandom, had to face, his departure forced Scott to step up his game. Derek’s character went through hell and innumerous losses. His love life was a disaster, but despite it all, he was always a loyal and caring ally. And it was great to see his journey teaching Scott how to be a werewolf, while Scott taught him how to be human again.

6. Scott and Allison break up with the promise of one day ending up together.

They may be Romeo and Juliet of supernatural world. It’s the oldest story in the world. Forbidden love. In season 2, when Allison breaks up with Scott, he replies “I know we’re going to be together”, to what she says “There’s no such thing as fate”, and closes the argument with “There’s no such thing as werewolves”. If you saw the movie trailer, you saw that maybe against all the odds, this particular scene may be foreshadowing, to a very deserving happy ending for Scallison.

5. Malia is Peter's daughter.

Malia being Peter’s daughter, isn’t necessarily shocking, or the most satisfying plot, but the way this storyline changes Peter’s path is the key. Throughout the show we see Peter as the ultimate villain, and the most selfish character, but this new found fatherhood justifies his transition from being the show’s antagonist, to an ally, when the worst evils arrive to Beacon Hills.

4. 'Stydia' finally gets together.

The slowest burn of them all. After 6 seasons and only two kisses, these two were tortured in the form of a ship. Jeff Davis really dragged this endgame until the very last episode, but one thing is for sure… it was an epic journey. Did we want and deserve to see the canon Stydia? Obviously, but we took what we could get, and we did collect our endgame. At least we hope we did, because with the absence of Dylan O’brien in the movie, the fate of these two is once again a question mark over our heads.

3. Stiles is the nogitsune "You can't kill me".

Maybe the most remarkable performance and storyline in the entire series, by the one and only Dylan O’brien as the terrafying Void Stiles. The frightening 2-faced villain. This outstanding performance itself is a must-watch, but also in terms of storyline, this was the biggest plot twist, that changed the course of the entire show.

2. Allison dies in Scott's arms.

The saddest moment of them all. Allison was strong and passionate, part of the core four of the show, and a fan favorite. She was also Scott’s first love. She died in his arms, saving her best friends. She was brave and with the same sacrificing spirit that Scott had. This was a pivotal moment for the show, that changed the way these characters interacted, and went about the rest of their future. Now, years later, seeing her come back for the movie, gives me hope for a very much deserving, happy ending for this character.

1. "Scott, you're my brother".

Even with the absence of Dylan O’brien in The Teen Wolf Movie, you need to remember that Scott and Stiles will always be brothers. Through thick and thin, these 2 are family and will always be family. This moment in particular was one of the greatest moments in the entire show, because it was in this specific scene that the audience was able to feel how deep the connection between Tyler and Dylan goes. It was always beyond Scott and Stiles. Ultimately, this supernatural show, was about brotherhood and family beyond blood. It was about unconditional love.
