You do not consider yourself bound by society’s moral principles. The important thing in life is to experience everything. You live for pleasure and you’re not ashamed of liking things that other people consider frivolous. You’re out to make the world as beautiful and open-minded as you possibly can, looking fabulous all the while.

Aesthete

Your response to the stresses and worries of the world? Forget them! You’re out to have a good time, enjoying the latest fashions and dancing the night away. You would think of nothing of keeping a string of lovers or of scandalising the neighbours. You’re living for today, in the full glory of youth.

Flapper

You’re stylish and suave. You take great trouble over your appearance and love to dip into the glamour of old-world design. You love the unity of gang culture and you’re prepared to defend yourself against all who would attempt to change you. You love the feverish dance music of jazz and rock and roll. You like the gaudy and the luxurious. You strive to live the high life.

Teddy Boy/Girl

You’re a sensitive soul. You have great hopes for the future and, deep down, you believe that there is good in everybody. You love to be surrounded by like-minded people and you cannot understand why anybody would subject themselves to the stresses and traumas of the corporate rat race when they have any other option. You’re there for public protest, for saving the environment and for enjoying the world around you in all its natural glory.

Hippie

You’ve seen the light – this world is looking grim. Society seems so fragile, and yet its conventions do all they can to keep a stranglehold on you. You’re ready to kick back against whatever you can find. You’re ready to burn society to the ground if you have to. You’ll find whatever you can to make life worth living in the hellscape that the future looks set to become. You don’t have much hope for your future but you’re not going down without a fight.

Punk

You live to be different. You hate being forced into mainstream society. You want to be yourself – as much and as loudly as you can possibly be. You take an interest in new innovations and new art styles. You believe in the ability of art and music to transcend human boundaries. You are not afraid to be ostracised for your choices nor to speak your mind. You won’t be quiet for anybody else’s sake, not whilst you still have things to say.

Bohemian

You’ve been disillusioned with the rebellion that many of your predecessors favoured. You know that the evils of the modern world cannot be kissed away like a wicked witch’s spell. You reject the sheep-like masses who blindly follow corporate values. You seek out new ideas and strive towards intellectualism. You like the finer things in life but you are not going to let anybody else tell you what those are. You’re happy to test boundaries but you see no point in charging blindly through them. You’re clever, cynical and unafraid to show it.

Hipster

You have never been one for the rebellious lifestyle. You never felt the need to cut all your hair and kick back at your parents’ values. You’re doing just fine as you are. You know that you can get far more from life by making the system work for you than you can by mindlessly trying to break it apart. Your family are proud of you and your future looks bright. You work hard and you don’t trouble yourself with great concerns about what it means to be human or what love is really all about. As far as you’re concerned, the immediate realities of life are for more important.
