I'm deciding to review Taylor Swift's new album! (Spoiler alert: Everything she does is great.)

I love her coat on the cover. It's a couple grand, but there has to be similar versions out there.

1-willow

A little more fast-spaced than Folklore. Overall nice beat. In the beginning, I'm getting slight Shawn Mendes vibes? Just me? The chorus is really catchy. Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind.

2-champagne problems

Doesn't Katy Perry have a song with the same name? They don't sound anything alike. The opening reminds me of New Year's Day a bit. I think she's singing about heartbreak and champagne, neither of which am I old enough to experience. Because I dropped your hand while dancing, left you out there standing, crestfallen on the landing, champagne problems.

3-gold rush

My personal opinion is that this is about Harry Styles. Seems like she's talking about being with someone that everyone wants. I know a lot of people who want Harry. I don't like that anyone would die to feel your touch, everybody wants you, everybody wonders what it would be like to love you, walk past, quick brush.

4-'tis the damn season

From one listen, I can't be too sure everything she's singing about. I think it's about meeting someone from her hometown/past. Romantic. You could call me babe for the weekend, 'tis the damn season.

5-tolerate it

This is about being in love with someone and having them not return it. Very emotional. I was not ready for the Spectrum Mobile ad after. I know my love should be celebrated, but you tolerate it.

6-no body, no crime (feat. Haim)

Ominous song title, and the first on this album with someone else. Strong country vibes. Her friend's man is cheating on her! Oh, it's about murder. Everyone is accusing each other! I think he did it, but I just can't prove it, no body no crime, but I ain't letting up til' the day I die.

7-happiness

Very calm. Chill. Strong contrast to the song about murder and cheating. Ok, I guess it is about a breakup? It's just a calmer beat. I hope she'll be a beautiful fool that takes my spot next to you.

8-dorothea

This seems like a song about a best friend from childhood. She left to chase her dreams of bigger things. Taylor's the one that got it, lol. You got shiny friends since you left town, a tiny screen's the only place I see you now.

9-coney island (feat. The National)

I think the man in this died? It's a duet! This is pretty sad. Sorry for not making you my centerfold.

10-ivy

This is about her falling in love with someone else when she's already married. I love all the descriptive words, I can almost imagine ivy being planted near one corner of a house and growing everywhere. Oh, I can't, stop you putting roots in my dreamland, my house of stone, your ivy grows, and now I'm covered in you.

11-cowboy like me

This is a nice song about falling in love unintentionally. There are some bandit and cowboy references, and this seems a lot like early country Taylor. Oh, I thought, this is gonna be one of those things, now I know I'm never gonna love again.

12-long story short

I think this is about her talking about all she's gone through to be where she is. Long story short, she survived. Clung to the nearest lips, long story short, it was the wrong guy, now I'm all about you.

13-marjorie

13! This one seems to be about advice from her grandmother. She seems to really miss her, and I miss my grandmothers too. The autumn chill that wakes me up, you loved the amber sky so much, long limbs and frozen swims, you'd always go past where our feet could touch.

14-closure

The opening sounds like she's hitting pipes? I would too if I was mad. She is getting over some past relationship in this song. Don't mess with her. Yes, I got your letter, yes, I'm doing better, I know that it's over, I don't need your "closure".

15-evermore (feat. Bon Iver)

Title song and the last song! (At least on this version of the album.) I think this one is also about a breakup, but she seems a little more emotional during this one. She wants to know where she went wrong. I replay my footsteps on each stepping stone, trying to find the one where I went wrong, writing letters addressed to the fire.
