    San Galgano, next to Siena, is an abandoned abbey where there's also a mysterious sword in the stone. But the story here is quote different from the more famous English one. The opposite, actually.

    2. Curon Venosta

    Next to the border with Austria and Switzerland, a bell tower rises from a calm Alpine lake. As you can imagine, this weird phenomenon was caused by the construction of a dam in the '50s.

    Bomarzo's Park of the Monsters was built by a prince in honor of his passed wife and it's designed like an initiation path full of alchemical symbols. Unsurprisingly, this place was loved by Salvador Dalì.
