There are many incredible Award shows all around the world, the most popular ones include The Oscars, the Golden Globes and VMA's. But what would an Award show be without at least one awkward, embarrassing or funny moment? It wouldn't be the same! We have listed up ten both hilarious and cringe moments in Award show history.

1. When Kanye not only embarrassed Taylor Swift but also himself in front of a worldwide audience

We have all heard about this moment back in 2009 when Kanye humiliated Tay Tay during her acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards and told the world that Queen Bey deserved it more than her. Suave, Kanye. Luckily Taylor didn't take it too personal and reacted to the situation with grace. At least Ye apologised....a few years too late, though.

2. When La La Land was wrongly awarded for Best Picture Winner

And the winner iiiiis.... imagine they say your name but in reality it's false alarm?! That must be the worst and most embarrassing situation ever! But exactly this happened at the Oscars in 2017 when it was announced that La La Land was winner for Best Picture but really it was Moonlight. Needless to say the acceptance speech was cut short.

3. When Jennifer Lawrence was happy to beat Meryl Streep

To be honest, there are many great moments where actress Jennifer Lawrence said something funny or had a rather clumsy moment - including when she was on stage to receive her first ever Golden Globe Award. Being incredibly euphoric, she yelled 'I beat Mery!' which initially led to confusion among the crowd and later on led to discussions on the world wide web. Truth is, it was just a reference from a film but nobody realised.

4. When John Travolta got the name wrong

Is it Adele or Idina? Dazeen or Menzel? Names can often be difficult to remember or to pronounce. When Travolta had to introduce Idina Menzel for her performance he accidentally got the name horribly wrong and instead called out Adele Dazeen. Not quite the same, John.

5. When Madonna fell off stage

Madonna is known for her extravagant moves but she did not plan that one: During her performance at the BRIT's in 2015 she took a wrong step back and fell all the way off stage. But Madonna wouldn't be Madonna if something like that would stop her - after a quick moment she continued with her performance as if nothing had happened.

In 2000 he called the former Take That band member a 'fat member' which led to Robbie publicly prompting him to fight, with the winner winning £100k.
