5. Australia

Zheng Chen

“I chose to travel to Australia because it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world with pleasant weather year round. Also the universities in Australia have earned their reputation through high rankings in the world.”

4. Europe

Nathan Bartlett

“My first day in Germany, I decided to wander around the city to explore my new surroundings. I may have gotten lost, but what I found was incredible. Germany was a must for me, considering that I was learning German at the time. I felt strongly about seeing the culture first-hand. If you’re into people being honest and punctual, then Germany is the right place for you. Alongside this, German cities, especially the smaller ones, make you feel like you’re in the past; markets, drinking fountains, old building design, and stone streets alike.”

3. Asia

Seikun Kambashi

“I travelled to South Korea for their unique food, culture, and history. There are so many awesome things to do and places to see packed into this small, but amazing country. Everyone should take advantage of this unique opportunity to explore the world, even just a little bit.”

2. South America

Sam Stuckless

“I chose to go to Peru because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and engage with the amazing people and groups that St. Jerome's University has connected with. It was an incredible experience that opened my eyes to the world of fair trade goods, the challenges of running grassroots organizations in countries like Peru, and the impacts that our choices and economic activities in Canada have on the global stage. It was a chance to push yourself physically, intellectually, and emotionally, and one of the single most important things I've ever taken part in.”

“The trip provided me with an amazing experience. This program provided first-hand experience on the societal issues that plague Southern Africa and gave me a perspective that I would not have gotten in a classroom.”
