You love to help others and find enjoyment from brightening someone’s day! Luckily for you, UTA has a lot of volunteer-based organizations! Whether you hope to help plan out the largest day of service at UTA through The Big Event or do something monthly through Circle K International, there are many options for you! Alpha Phi Omega and Sigma Alpha Lambda are always looking for new members who are service minded! Service organizations are a great way to not only serve the community, but also meet new people in the process!

Philanthropic & Service Organizations

Interested in growing as a leader, building a network, or being a part of something that empowers you to be your best self? Our social fraternities and sororities are just for you! Fraternity and Sorority Life fosters an experience that empowers you to fulfill your potential by promoting community values of integrity and learning in a diverse and inclusive setting. Our UTA fraternity and sorority community is home to 27 organizations, 15 fraternities and 12 sororities. Each active fraternity/sorority holds membership within one of the four (4) Governing Councils: College Panhellenic Council (CPH), Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).

Social Fraternity/Sorority

You love friendly competition, and what better way to manage your mental and physical health than keeping active? You love to have a team you can rely on and that’s why our sport and leisure organizations are perfect for you. You can play on an intramural team through Campus Recreation, join one of our many sport clubs, or try something new by joining eSports or the Bass Fishing Club. Whatever activity you love UTA has it for you!

Sport & Leisure Organizations

You value academics and our organizations do too! UTA has several organizations that will help you to stay focused on your studies and challenge you to be the best and brightest. These organizations host several events throughout the semester, from tutoring sessions to study groups. Joining one of these organizations will truly help you focus on your studies while making friends in the process! Whether you are interested in joining the Liberal Arts Constituency Council or the Accounting Society there is something for you. If you are interested in joining an honor society, you might want to check out Alpha Lambda Delta, Tau Beta Pi or the Leadership Honors Program.

Academic Organizations & Honor Societies

You are career oriented and ready to make big moves for your future. Luckily, we have a student organization for almost every career path! These organizations host networking events, career workshops, and guest speakers. Health Occupations Students of America and Society of Women Engineers are just two of our professional organizations that set UTA students up for success. You can also check out the Lockheed Martin Career Development Center for resume reviews, mock interviews, job fairs, and internship opportunities.

Professional Organizations

You are always up to talk politics and social justice and we have groups at UTA who are right there with you. Whether you hope to be the next president of the United States or want to be an activist for a certain cause, we have a group for you! Being a part of Student Government at UTA empowers you to make positive changes on campus. NAACP and Young Americans for Freedom hold bi-weekly meetings for members that promote open conversations. IGNITE empowers women in politics to let their voice be heard.

Political Organizations

Interested in trying something new, learning about others or trying some exciting cuisine? Our cultural societies are just for you! Global Grounds Coffee Hour allows you to meet students from all over the world and International week is full of exciting activities and lots of yummy food. Any Maverick can join organizations like the Filipino Student Association, Latin American Student Organization, and Native American Student Association.

Cultural Organizations

If you are hoping to continue your faith or spiritual journey, we have plenty of student organizations that would love to welcome you with open arms. Mantra Yoga Lounge and Falun Gong focus on students’ spirituality through yoga and meditation. The Muslim Student Association and Baptist Student Ministries hold weekly events to foster fellowship between students.
	
There are plenty of other religious and spiritual groups on campus, including Fellowship of Christian University Students, Access, Baha’i Club, and SKY. You can check out more at mavorgs.uta.edu.

Religious and Spiritual Organizations

You seem to be someone who is interested in…well…a little bit of everything. If you can’t decide, let us suggest a few! Mavs Go Green encourages eco-friendly habits and volunteer efforts around the community to keep the planet clean. Interested in music? RISE A Cappella is a great way to express yourself and perform. The Write Club can help you to access your inner Shakespeare. EXCEL Campus Activities helps to plan large campus events like Bed Races and a ton of fun virtual contests, trivia and concerts. Whatever you are interested in, UTA has something for you. If you are hoping to start an organization that we don’t have, stop by the office of student organizations in the University Center to learn more.
