UCSD Leadership Opportunities For You!

There are a number of campus-wide and college specific opportunities you might be missing out on! Check out some cool positions and workshops to get involved with that will enrich your college experience, your resume and your skill set to go out to real life.

Campus Wide opportunities

* Did you know there are over 400 active student organizations on campus right now? Check this list out to see all the possibilities of involvement in something you are truly passionate about.

* Associated Students (AS) has a number of positions for you to engage and advocate for your UCSD community! Bridge the gap between administration and students, explore issues that affects us as students and work towards an improved experience for all of us here at UCSD.

* iLead is program brought to you by the Center of Student Involvement (CSI) which programs a number of workshops during each quarter to help you exploit your communication and leadership skills.

* GAP (Global Ambassadors Program) is a peer mentoring program designed to help international and Out of State students in their transition to their new life here in UCSD.

* VOICES is a year-long leadership program conducted by the Women's Center, geared towards female of female socialized individuals looking for a understanding of leadership through a feminist outlook.

College specific positions

* RA/HA: You could be a Resident Assistant or House Advisor next year! This is the perfect opportunity to engage with other (and new) students, and make the most out of your experience living in the residence halls (plus, earning some extra bucks never hurt anyone. Since each college has it's own selection system and deadlines, find your college and start you application process here.

* OL: Being an orientation leader is also a fun way to start the new academic year, meet incoming students and show off what an amazing school UCSD is. Most deadlines will be coming soon, so make sure you remember to check in with your college's webpage for updates.

College specific leadership opportunities

* Every college has it's own Student Council: get involved, advocate for your peers, plan great events and further engage with your community.

* Inspiring Muir Leaders Conference- Muir Peer Program: Assist incoming students with all the craziness of coming to college for the first time, or figuring out UCSD as a transfer student.

* Emerging Leaders Program: ELP is an opportunity offered by Revelle college looking to help students imporve their leadership skills while gaining more practical experience.

* Warren College Peer Mentorship Program: similar to Muir, this program aims to provide new students with an opportunity to network with current students to help them through their transition to college life here at UCSD.

* Each one Reach One: This is a mentorship opportunity for Marshall College students. EORO plans networking activities each quarter to help mentors and mentees connect and further engage with the UCSD community. Email [e-mail] to get involved.
