Panthers Look For A Win In Foxborough

McCaffrey looks to have another big game this week and the Panthers still deal with some detrimental injuries.

The Carolina Panthers suffered their first loss of the season this past Sunday as they faced the Saints of New Orleans. Number 1 draft pick Christian McCaffrey recorded his first 100 plus yard game of the season with 16 yards rushing and 101 yards receiving according to http://www.espn.com/nfl/game?gameId=400951587.

So It seems that McCaffrey is settling into his position. The Panthers will face a sub-par New England defense who allow the second most receiving yards to opposing running backs this year. This could possibly entail a breakout game for the young running back.

The Panthers are still dealing with some injury on the both the offensive and defensive side that might present some problems against Brady and the Patriots this week. TE Greg Olsen, Center Ryan Kalil and Cornerback Daryl Worley are all out due to injury this week as the Panther try to keep their record above .500.

Though Injuries are playing a negative role for the Panthers, there seems to be some progress being made.

“While this is a blow to the team offensively, it will be interesting to see what WR Damiere Byrd can do with this new-found opportunity to potentially impress in a pivotal game. As for everyone else on the list who did at least practice some today, they appear to be on track to play, including Panthers bionic man LB Thomas Davis, who is still nursing a rib injury. Hopefully nobody else will have any setbacks between now and game time on Sunday. We cannot afford much more at this point,” Ivan Halley, SB Nation.

Newton looks to come back from a below average performance against the Saints. Throwing three interceptions with zero passing touchdowns. Though he still had one rushing TD, McCaffrey will have to have another big game this week in order to fill in for a struggling Kelvin Benjamin and an absent Greg Olsen.

@tylerwelchsss The Panthers are still dealing with some injuries on both sides of the ball that seemed to give them trouble against the Saints Sunday. Let see how we can do against a struggling Patriots defense. Check out my blog for more info https://www.buzzfeed.com/twelch14
