    5 Reasons Therapy Is OK

    We all need a little help sometimes.

    1. No One Is Perfect

    People used to think therapy was only for crazies, but we all can use therapy to better ourselves. There is no one in this world that couldn't benefit from talking about their issues. Talking it out can help us figure out flaws in ourselves and quickly fix them, or hear another perspective of how we treat others, good or bad.

    2. We Are More Screwed Up Now

    According to recent research, more people than in the past have personality disorders, subtance-abuse issues, and marital problems. In fact, nearly 50% of marriages end in divorce and they may be saved by couples counseling or the right kind of therapy. Personality disorders like BPD and NPD are also on the rise, possibly due to social media and new social factors.

    3. Therapy Is Easier Than Ever

    Therapy used to only be accessible to the wealthy or the rich 'housewives'. Now therapy is available to everyone with millions and millions of people receiving treatment every year. There are even companies like BetterHelp that offer online therapy services for a fraction of the cost. You can literally have a therapist in your pocket for a small price.

    4. Therapists Are CERTIFIED To Help You

    Unlike you're acquaintances, who do give you their best advice, god bless their heart, are not trained to truly help you with life issues. Therapists take years of schooling and specialize in the very issues that you go through. They are there literally for nothing else other than to help you.

    5. Just Remember You're Not Crazy

    Never forget that going to therapy DOES NOT MAKE YOU CRAZY. It makes you a person who wants to be a better you. Anyone who wants to be better is someone is worth admiration and respect.
